🔒DoP Deep goes deeper into the concepts and ideas that are covered in the Weekly Briefing to help you learn lessons from the experiences of top tech companies. If you’d like to upgrade to receive them you can do so below. Or you can find out more about what you get as a paid subscriber here.

Hi product people 👋,

In last week’s briefing we mentioned that Google has finally taken steps towards unifying its AI products into a single brand. Gemini will replace Bard, Duet and other brand names it was using to simplify its product offering in a similar way that Microsoft has done with Copilot.

But alongside the brand revamp, the company unveiled a series of new AI models which Google claims beats the competition across important benchmarks.

In this DoP Deep dive, we’ll explore these new models in more detail. We’ll look at how they compare with other models like GPT and Anthropic’s Claude and most importantly, how product teams might be able to use these new models in their own product development processes and in building new AI features for users.

Coming up:

  • What are Google’s new Gemini models?

  • How does Gemini compare to other models?

  • What are the practical ways Gemini can be used by product teams?

  • API docs and Gemini use cases explored
