It’s been a few months since the last time we took a deep dive into all of the new AI features and capabilities added by product teams around the world.
Since then, new models have been released, new capabilities have been added to existing models and AI adoption rates have continued to grow, reaching over 70%1 in the latest McKinsey report on the topic.
Now, we’re back with a new deep dive which analyzes the new AI features released by top tier tech companies including Duolingo, Airtable, Priceline, Ring doorbells, Figma, Intercom and more. And since this is the first deep dive since OpenAI unveiled its new voice capabilities and Real Time API, we’re taking a look at how some of the world’s top tech companies are incorporating voice AI capabilities into their products.

How this analysis is structured
For this deep dive, we’re exploring over 25 different companies and the new AI features they’ve recently shipped. Here’s a sample of some of them:
The deep dive includes the following for each company:
Name of the company - a broad spectrum of companies from consumer through to B2B SaaS to give you a broad selection of what the market is shipping right now.
The new AI feature - some companies will give these featured dedicated names e.g. Strava calls its new ML feature Athlete Intelligence, Figma calls its generative AI feature First Draft while others just release it as a new feature without a name.
The category of the AI feature - each feature is categorized according to the value it offers to users. See notes below for further details on this.

This time, there are 7 distinct AI feature categories which includes ones you might expect like AI assistants / chatbots as well as a new feature category for voice assistants - thanks to the latest new voice APIs released by OpenAI and others.
Here’s the categories featured in full:
AI assistants / chatbots - tools that use AI to interact with users through conversation and automate support tasks. Uber's EV driver chatbot assists drivers with the transition to electric vehicles, answering questions about charging locations, EV purchasing recommendations, and government incentives.
Productivity / time savers - AI applications aimed at enhancing efficiency in tasks and workflows. Google Sheets recently expanded its Gemini integration which generates structured spreadsheets and tables based on text prompts, for example.
UX enhancers - features that improve user experience. Tinder's Photo Selector analyzes users' selfies and curates a set of 27 images deemed to enhance their dating profiles.
Generative AI - AI that can create content based on input prompts, such as text or images. For example, Figma's "First Draft" feature allows users to generate initial design layouts and stylings based on text descriptions.
ML intelligence - Machine learning tools that analyze data for insights and recommendations. More companies are starting to apply ML in creative way. Strava recently released its Athlete Intelligence feature which analyzes workout data from the past 30 days, identifying patterns and offering tailored tips for future fitness activities.
New standalone products - Airtable's App Library was a major new release which enables companies to create standardized AI-powered applications that can be customized across an organization, integrating massive datasets of over 100 million records.
Voice assistant - AI that interprets voice commands to perform tasks or answer queries. Priceline's Penny Voice was recently unveiled and it allows users to search for and book hotels using voice commands in over 120 languages, for example.
